Four materials · different requirements

A simple guide to maintenance

Different materials react differently to water, heat and everyday use. Here you’ll find the most important tips all in one place, so you can quickly see how each part should be cleaned and maintained.

Natural and vibrant

Wood

The wood’s grain and colour variations are part of the product’s character. Regular care helps the surface retain its warm glow.

Oak wood

  • Maintain regularly with grape seed oil.
  • The oak steak board can withstand temperatures of up to 220 °C in the oven.

Walnut tree

  • Maintain regularly with grape seed oil.
  • Hand wash only.
  • Do not put in the oven.

Raw and rugged

Granite

Bornholm granite has its own unique colour variations and texture. Each slab is unique and suitable for both cold and hot dishes.

  • Suitable for the oven and freezer.
  • Suitable for the dishwasher.
  • Maintain the polished surface regularly with grape seed oil.

Handmade in Denmark

Ceramics

Slight variations in shape and glaze are a natural result of the handcrafted process and make each bowl unique.

  • Can be kept in the fridge.
  • Suitable for the dishwasher.
  • Do not place in the oven or freezer.
  • Requires no special ongoing maintenance.

Light and the play of colours

Glass

The surface of the glass changes its appearance depending on the light. Gentle cleaning helps to preserve its clear play of colours.

  • Suitable for storage in the fridge.
  • Suitable for the dishwasher.
  • We recommend washing by hand to minimise the risk of scratches on the surface.
