Here you will find the current terms and conditions for purchases made by private customers in the Eat-On-Bornholm online shop – including information on payment, delivery, cancellation, returns and complaints.
Terms and conditions
These terms and conditions apply to purchases made via the Eat-On-Bornholm online shop. The online shop is intended solely for private customers. If you are a retailer or a business customer, please feel free to contact us at forhandler@eat-on-bornholm.com, in which case we will agree the terms separately.

All prices in the online shop include Danish VAT and other taxes. Payment is made in Danish kroner (DKK).
Any prices shown in euros (EUR) are indicative conversions. The final amount will be debited in DKK, and your bank or card issuer may apply its own exchange rate and charge a currency conversion or international transaction fee.
We reserve the right to correct obvious pricing errors and typographical errors, and to exclude items that are out of stock or have been discontinued. A price change will not affect an order that we have already accepted.
Once you have completed an order, you will receive an automatic order confirmation by email. The agreement is final once Eat-On-Bornholm has accepted the order. If, contrary to expectations, an item is out of stock, or if we are unable to deliver as agreed, we will contact you as soon as possible. You can then either accept a new delivery date or cancel the purchase.
We accept Visa/Dankort, Visa, Mastercard, MobilePay and bank transfers. For card and MobilePay payments, the amount is only debited once the item has been dispatched. For bank transfers, the item is dispatched once the payment has been processed, unless otherwise agreed.
No amount greater than the one you have authorised can ever be withdrawn.
We dispatch via PostNord, DAO or GLS to the delivery address or parcel shop you select when placing your order. Delivery costs 65 kr. for deliveries within Denmark. For orders of at least 2,500 kr., we offer free delivery in Denmark. Free delivery may also be offered as part of special promotions, in which case this will be clearly stated at the time of purchase.
We aim to dispatch your order within 8 days. This is a target rather than an absolute guarantee, as some products may be temporarily out of stock. If we anticipate a longer delivery time, we will contact you so that you can choose a new delivery date or cancel the order.
If the selected parcel shop is full, the carrier may move the parcel to another collection point. In that case, you will be notified directly by the carrier.
We deliver worldwide. Delivery charges and estimated delivery times for international orders are calculated and agreed separately for each order. We will contact you with the total price, including delivery charges, and the order will only become binding once you have accepted the amount.
For deliveries outside the EU, the customer is responsible for paying any import VAT, customs duties and local charges. Eat-On-Bornholm has no control over these amounts.
The risk associated with the goods passes to you when you, or a person you have appointed, receive the goods. If you receive a parcel that has been damaged in transit, please take photographs of the packaging and the goods and contact us as soon as possible at info@eat-on-bornholm.com.
Eat-On-Bornholm’s products are crafted from natural materials and made by hand. The grain of the wood, the texture of the granite, and the shades and patterns in the handcrafted glass and ceramics vary from product to product. Consequently, no two products are ever exactly the same. Natural and handcrafted variations are part of the product’s unique character and do not in themselves constitute a defect.
Speciality products and other solutions manufactured to the customer’s specifications are subject to separate agreement upon enquiry. If a product is manufactured to your specifications or has a distinct personal touch, we will inform you before you place your order that the standard right of withdrawal does not apply to that product.
As a private customer, you generally have a 14-day right of withdrawal. The period begins on the day you, or a person designated by you, receive the goods. If an order is delivered in several parts, the period begins on the day you receive the last item or the last part.
You must notify us clearly before the deadline expires that you wish to cancel the purchase. Please write to info@eat-on-bornholm.com, or use the standard cancellation form at the bottom of this page. You do not need to give a reason for your decision. It is not sufficient simply to refuse to accept the goods.
Once you have notified us that you wish to cancel your order, the item must be returned without undue delay and no later than 14 days after you have notified us.
Please feel free to contact us before returning an item so that we can help with the practical arrangements. Prior authorisation is not required.

You are responsible for paying the direct costs of returning goods following a cancellation. We do not accept parcels sent cash on delivery or without a delivery address. You bear the risk for the goods during the return shipment and must pack them securely.
You are only liable for any loss in value resulting from handling the goods beyond what is necessary to establish their nature, characteristics and functioning. You may examine the goods in the same way as you would in a physical shop, but you must not put them to actual use if you wish to receive a full refund.
If you change your mind, we will refund all payments received from you, including the standard delivery charge. If you have chosen a more expensive delivery option than our cheapest standard delivery, the additional cost will not be refunded.
The refund will be made without undue delay and no later than 14 days after we have received your notice of withdrawal. We may withhold the refund until we have received the goods back or you have provided proof that the goods have been returned.
As a general rule, the amount will be refunded using the same payment method you used for the purchase, unless otherwise expressly agreed.
You have a two-year right to make a complaint under the provisions of the Sale of Goods Act. This right covers faults and defects that were present at the time of delivery, or which become apparent later and can be attributed to the nature of the goods.
You must make a complaint within a reasonable time of discovering the fault. If you make a complaint within two months of the fault being discovered, the complaint is always deemed to have been made in good time.
Depending on the specific situation, you may be entitled to a repair, a replacement, an appropriate price reduction or a refund. In the event of a valid complaint, Eat-On-Bornholm will cover reasonable return postage costs. Please contact us at info@eat-on-bornholm.com, before you send the item, so that we can agree on the practical arrangements.
The right to make a complaint does not cover damage caused by misuse, lack of care, accidents or normal wear and tear. Natural variations in materials and the handcrafted finish are described in clause 8.
We process the personal data necessary to complete your purchase, deliver the goods and handle any enquiries. You can read more about the legal basis for processing, data retention and your rights in our Privacy Policy.
If you wish to make a complaint about your purchase, please contact us first at info@eat-on-bornholm.com, so that we can try to find a solution.
If we are unable to reach an agreement, you, as a consumer, can lodge a complaint with Nævnenes Hus via naevneneshus.dk, provided that the conditions for considering the complaint are met.
Purchases made in the online shop are governed by Danish law. Mandatory consumer rights in your country of residence are not affected by this provision.
